150 Class
150 Class Why a 150 class? These are great for beginners as they are much easier to control when just starting out. As you can probably tell from the name these discs weigh 152 grams or less. So what does that mean for you. Well if your just starting out chances are your arm speed is not that fast, throwing a lighter disc will generate more arm speed and you can throw the disc farther. 150 class discs are also awesome to throw in a tail wind as they will glide for quite sometime. Beginners will also find the 150 class easier to control due to the stability of the disc. New players tend to release the disc on an upward plane like a traditional frisbee toss only to see the disc arc high and slice back left(rhbh throwers). The 150 class will counter act the release and keep the disc on a flatter plane longer. Keep in mind they are lighter so it does take some getting used to as the release point will change because your arm speed changes when throwing these lighter discs. Is a 150 class right for you? Only one way to find out. Try one! |
